I hope this is allowed; if no, please let me know.

There's a guy on Facebook who's started a group called Anti Adoption Alliance. He is looking for new members to join. The group is based in the U.K. His story is quite horrific.
If anyone who has a Facebook account is interested...

I disagree with lost_letters. I believe that the adoptive parents *can* have the best interests of the adoptees and birth families at heart. I'm in no way saying that all of them do, but please don't discount the fact that it is possible at all, 'cause the capacity for human love can be unfathomable at times.

I have no problem being in a group run by anyone, as long as that group is not heavily moderated, and as long as all opinions are allowed to be heard without fear of abuse.

From my experience of the group it's seems very caring and compassionate and non-judgmental. I haven't been a member for long but I've found it comforting (just joining something like that brought a measure of comfort, oddly enough - for me, anyway).

Yes, I can understand your trepidation.
I joined thinking that he was an adult adoptee and was quite surprised to later find out he'd been an adoptive parent. I never expected to hear negative stories from that perspective.
I don't know much about the UK adoption system (even though I was adopted under it) but, from some of what I've read, it seems his goal is to try and make the politicians see what's needed is to abolish the current system and put the money and manpower into keeping natural families together wherever possible.
Have you seen the other anti-adoption groups on Facebook? One of them is run by an adult adoptee. The group is called anti-adoption pro-natural families, or something similar (I'm a member and can't even recall the name!).
